A SHI’ITE-SUNNI STRATEGY FOR SURVIVING THE WAR ON TERROR

The United States now faces a widespread, long-term, and potentially catastrophic threat from Islamism, and the terrorist bombings since 9/11 indicate that this threat is becoming global in scope. Moreover, as the earlier U.S. struggle with communism, another hostile global ideology, suggests, the threat may persist for several generations. And as the accelerating spread of nuclear technology portends, the stakes of this threat may involve the nuclear destruction of one or more of America’s great cities and perhaps even the very functioning of American society itself.  |

Onu gerçekleÅŸtirebilirim ÅŸu anda. Yabancı ülkelerde bulundum ben. Bir tanesi Ä°ngiltere, iki buçuk sene kaldım. Orada lisan sonrası öÄŸrenim yaptım; görgü bilgi arttırdım. Orada yabancı bir ülkede Türkiye'den gelen ve diÄŸer orta ÅŸark ülkelerinden gelen, Ä°slam aleminden gelen insanlarla tanıştım...

Geopolitical Diary: The Beginning of the End Game

It appears that the United States and Iran are now going to begin public talks on Iraq. The Iranian News Agency reported Thursday that Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, told a closed session of the Majlis that Iran had agreed to a request by the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq to negotiate with Washington on Iraq. Also on Thursday, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the United States is open to holding talks with Iran about Iraq. He emphasized that such talks must be confined to Iraq and not involve nuclear issues.

‘Sanatçı bu eserinde neyi anlatmak istiyor acaba?’
sıradan sayılabilecek seyirciyi meraklandıran bir soru bu.
Geçenlerde bir hukukçu dostumla resim sergisini geziyoruz.
Aynı soruyu O da sordu.
Ama önce Andre Maurois’ in ‘Bir Üstadın DoÄŸuÅŸu’ öyküsünden söz etmeliyim. Yıllar evvel okumama karşın aklımda kaldığınca özetlemek istiyorum: Üstat bir ressamdır. DoÄŸayı muhteÅŸem resmeder. Her bir resim oldukça titiz, dikkatli çalışmanın ürünüdür. Resim deÄŸil sanki fotoÄŸraftır boyadığı. Tüm ayrıntılar; özenle, sabırla betimlenmiÅŸ, boyanmıştır. AÄŸaç tıpkı aÄŸaçtır, yapraklar yaprak, meyveler meyve gibi. Ancak üstadın eserleri sergi salonlarında seyircilerin ilgisini fazla çekmez. Hatta son dönemlerinde üstat bütünüyle unutulmak üzeredir neredeyse.
